In order to facilitate a sustainable development, innovation, management
and valorization of creativity, art is often perceived from companies
like a tool of growth and a value for communication. The graduating
course Arte & Impresa, held by Mrs Valeria Cantoni at the Cattolica
University of Milan, aims to give the students practical and theoretical
instruments in order to comprehend the cultural and communication
dynamics of enterprises and the potential of the arts in the development
of the company in terms of communication and of growth of the human
resources working inside.
With this task Lotte Darso has been invited to
the University, she is Associate Professor in Innovation and Research
Manager at The Creative Alliance Consortium inside the Learning
Lan in Denmark. She has proposed a very in depth thought on how
the companies, giving more attention to notions of the economy of
knowledge, use instruments such as innovation and creativity to
grow and develop.
The question asked was on what formula could be convenient for innovation
and on how could the process of transformation be described.
Lotte Darso proposed a formula to solve this quest, a model “the
innovation diamond”, it has 4 basic parameters: knowledge-ignorance,
relation-concepts that relating with one another create the ideal
balance for the success of the innovating process.
