ANDREA ILLY
Andrea Illy was born in Trieste in 1964, he is the president of Illy Caffè S.p.A., a family business set up in 1933 in Trieste. He starts working in Illy Caffè. After working as production and quality control director, he is nominated Delegate Administrator in 1994 and in 1997 Delegate Administrator and General Director. In 1995 he publishes Espresso Quality : The Chemistry of Quality with Academic Press. In 1996 he's nominated "Marketing Superstar" by Advertising Age. In 1996 he becomes president of A.S.I.C (Association Scientifique International du Café - Paris) and organises the 19th Colloque International sur la Science du Cafè in Trieste. He's a member of the Directive Council of the Italian Association of wide set Industry. He has become vice president in 2007.
